Some starry evening, listen to the soft June breeze whispering amid leaves flickering with fireflies; know the God Who still bends lovingly and caringly over this world battered and bruised through no fault of His. Then, when the reverie must cease and duty calls for a return to normal life, lift up your face for one last vision of star-sprayed velvet and blow a kiss to the firmament.
This reminds me of the other evening when I was standing in the middle of a field and there were fireflies twinkling all around... God's creation is so amazing. <3<3<3
ReplyDeleteIt was basically an identical experience that inspired this! :) <3

DeleteOh my stars!!! (pun not intended). This is beautiful. My family and I went camping up in the mountains for Independence Day and you could see sooooo many stars at night. I can't see many stars from my house because we live in a big bright city so when I get the chance to see a sky full of twinkling lights, I crane my neck so much that it gets stiff. <3. This poem describes what I was feeling and what happened so perfectly. I just wish I could have read it while actually looking at them. <3
ReplyDeleteBlessings! <3
