As some of you may know,
I have been working on a continuation of Susan Pevensie's story for a little while now. I'm really going to try to get at least some sort of first draft done by the end of the year, sooooooo . . . I'm doing NaNoWriMo! Kind of. In a way.
So far, my plan is to get at least SOME writing done every day in November, which is why I'm calling it NaNoWriMo, but I'm not really following any other official NaNoWriMo "rules". I don't think I even know what an "official" NaNoWriMo entails. :-P
I really think God has a plan for me writing this, and I hope I stay on track with it. The lovely
Christine Smith (who has recently been sharing absolutely wonderful posts with NaNoWriMo tips) suggests telling other people about your NaNo goals so that they can hold you accountable. So here I be! :)
Are you doing NaNoWriMo this year?
What's your best tip from past NaNos?
OLIIIIVIA!!! I am so, SO excited for this story!! Like SO excited!! I meant to respond to your email much sooner and gush about it there...but as usual I haven't gotten around to that yet. :P Hopefully soon. Until then I'll just say YOU CAN DO THIS DEAR!!! I totally believe in you! :) And what you said about how you think God has a plan for you writing this story...YES YES! I THINK HE DOES TOO!!!! <3 <3 <3
ReplyDeleteAAAAAGGGHHH! *tackles you* Thank you so much, Miss March! Really, your enthusiasm and support and just general EXCITEMENT about this story means SO MUCH to me. THANK YOOOOUUU!! <3 Gahh, thank you. :) <3 <3 <3
DeleteYESSSS GIRL. :D :D :D I can't WAIT to hear how this goes for you. I think your plan of trying to write every day without adhering to the NaNo rules is a good one! I'm planning on doing NaNo "officially", but lately I've been wondering if a simple writing month (without the pressure of 50k words!) would be better for me right now....ahh well. I'll figure it out. :P
ReplyDeleteBut eeeek I'm so excited that you feel God's hand on this story. <3 You're such a gifted writer; I know this story will be amazing with you as its author.
If you need NaNo encouragement along the way, you know where to find me. *hugs*
Aaaaahhh, thank you, Natalie!! Gaahhh, you guys are the best support team a girl could ask for. <3
DeleteI hope NaNo's been going splendidly well for you and that you're making all your goals!! <3
DAAAAAHHHH THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Your words -- and YOU! -- mean so much to me. :)
You bet I do. *hugs back*
Oh I would love a story that continues Susan's story because as CS Lewis said, he wasn't finished with her. :'( I'm super excited for you and know you'll do a great job with the story because you are dedicated to it. And when I say dedicated, I don't mean just being a dedicated writer getting it done in a timely fashion, but you are one who loves and cares about Susan, the other characters, Narnia, and the beliefs behind it. God bless you!! <3
ReplyDeleteEeeekk! Thank you, Sarah! "And when I say dedicated, I don't mean just being a dedicated writer getting it done in a timely fashion, but you are one who loves and cares about Susan, the other characters, Narnia, and the beliefs behind it." << Gahhh, thank you so much! That means a LOT!! God bless you, too, my friend! <333
DeleteWell, I've never done NaNoWriMo, and I think I know less than you about it. But I hope it goes well, and I tip my hat off to you for setting your goal! I think your Susan story is going to be a gem and I can't wait for you to finish it. :D
ReplyDeleteI hope it goes well! <3
